Dr. James Boone

Dr. Boone was co-owner of Briggs Chaney Animal Hospital, before selling the practice to Dr. Robbins. He has graciously consented to remain a part of the Briggs Chaney family during the transistion period, while still retaining two other practices in DC and Virginia. Dr. Boone was born and raised on a farm in North Carolina. After paying his way through professional school, Dr. Boone graduated from the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1975. Dr. Boone settled in Maryland with his wife Barbara. He went on to do an internship in the US Army for 3 years, and served in the Army Reserves for 20 years. Dr. Boone developed a special interest in dentistry, and took several advanced courses including; performing root canals, fillings, and specialized oral surgery. Outside of practicing veterinary medicine, Dr. Boone is very active in his church, serving as chairman of the deacon board. He also enjoys golf, cooking, landscaping, and traveling with his wife. He has a miniature dachshund named Yasmine.

Dr. Jerrold Boone

Dr. Boone is a 2001 graduate of the Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. He has always loved animals and has been working with his father, Dr. James Boone, for several years. Dr. Boone spends time at two other offices, one in DC and the other in Virginia. His special interests in veterinary medicine include general surgery and orthopedic surgery. He has extensive training from the Virginia Tech in orthopedic surgery. Dr. Boone is a native of Maryland. He attended Gonzaga High School in DC. He has an English Bulldog named Beast. Dr. Boone enjoys golfing, motorcycling, and anything involving sports in his free time.
